Vacancy:  Inhouse Solicitor (Asset Management)

Our profile:

We are a medium size fund management firm located 2 minute’s walk from Burwood station.  We work in an energetic and busy environment. Due to rapid expansion, we require an inhouse solicitor for our Asset Management Department.

General Job Scope:

• Review and draft loan documentations
• Register and discharge caveat/ mortgage nationwide
• Initiate and complete PEXA transactions
• Initiate legal proceeding work for mortgage & debt recovery matters
• Manage potential and active litigation cases
• Monitoring and follow up on court cases
• Liaising with mercantile agents, collection agent and solicitors
• Review, advice and implement relevant legislations

Key Competencies

• Hold a current practicing certificate from the Law Society
• At least 2 years’ experience in law
• Ability to interpret Australia legislation (including interstate) and apply accurately
• High quality of work
• Attention to detail
• Independence

Position:

Full Time or Part time available
